Greetings.

Greetings. I am in the process of backing up my G+ Communities and I'm running the Google+ Exporter tool that generates JSON, Blogger, and WP4 and 5 files that you can import into whatever platform you'd like to port your G+C to, in case you wish to preserve it as an archive. Do you want me to grab a set of files for you while I'm at it? Or are you making your own backup (or not planning to preserve a backup after G+ shuts down about a week from now)?

Happy to help if I can as long as I'm tooled up for it and just downloading files. I plan to put the files in my Google Drive so people can download them, or I can help you with the process if you'd like to do it yourself. Standing by!

Just learned of a great piece of software which was developed by MIT and can be used as extension installed in WordPress or Moodle. One can create interactive exercises for learners with it like drag and drop, video lessons etc.

Here is my week 4 task

Here is my week 4 task,
introducing Blackboard (LMS) and VoiceThread (Online platform),
which I have been using over the last several years.

I'm glad I chose VoiceThread because it's asynchronous-- Students can complete tasks anytime when they have time.

Since most of my students work full time while taking several college courses, they would have dropped out if I had chosen a synchronous platform like Adobe Connect.

The format of the hybrid (blended) class I teach this semester is like this...

Mon: Students complete several online tasks. The tasks include memorizing
vocabulary via Quizlet, doing grammar exercise, writing Chinese characters, etc.

Wed: We meet f2f. Since it's a flipped class, I let them speak, speak, and speak without introducing new words/grammar/characters.

* Again, my video card, Nvidia, has an issue with recording....
