Here's my assignment for week4.

Here's my assignment for week4.
Sorry for being late...
I prepared a lesson on Bonfire Night.
I just took the text from
https://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/uk-now/read-uk/bonfire-night
inserted in into vocabkitchen.com (thanks a lot to Mariia Ruban for introducing it to me), made the analysys with the help of
CEFR Vocabulary Profiler and inserted some definitions to words I needed my students to learn before our live class.
Then I added those words to quizlet.com
https://quizlet.com/_5k5h3p
for my students to practice the vocabulary. Thank you, Montse Veyrat for sharing such an interesting tool)
Then made a description of it in GoogleClass (again, many thanks to Lisa Wood for this tool)
https://classroom.google.com/u/0/c/MjYwNzA3NjAzMjla/m/MjYwNzA3NjAzMzha/details
and recorded everything in Zoom (here, Heike Philp was the first to introduce it to me, which is highly appreciated).
The sound is ugly, there were several tries, but the first seemed the best, my son's netbook did its best, normal PC is unavailable now...
PS. Can't tag people, just write your names

  1. Thanks for the clear explanation of the tasks in your Google classroom activity, Natalia! :) In addition to Quizlet, I also learn about Vocab Kitchen that you used. I really like the feature where it explains the vocabulary by just clicking on the word that we don't understand on the text! Just wondering if you need to prepare the explanation of vocabs on Vocab Kitchen by yourself? Or they appear by themselves?

  2. Eunice Tan , thank you for asking, at quizlet.com there're already some ready-made tasks on Vocabulary done by others. In the task, I did it by myself. It was my first try to work with the apps. I used the definitions from the dictionary at vocabkitchen, my own definitions or suggested ones on quizlet.com (when you put a word, it offers you some variants used by others). The sound is done automatically (magic...)

  6. Hi Nataliia star25016, I am ever so sorry, unfortunately due to poor audio, it is very difficult to understand. Could you perhaps use the visuals to do a voice over? Such a shame, it is a great great lesson but for some reason the audio is extremely hollow, you sound like under water.

  7. Heike Philp , will try to use my headphones for recording. The thing is that I work till late at night and have no possibility to work at PC, just netbook with that sound.... hope to remake the video....
