Here is my workshop with Eunice!

Here is my workshop with Eunice! I introduced two useful tools for special needs students: "fromtextospeech.com" and "onenote/learningtools".
I find the tool "immersive reading" extremely helpful for this kind of students.

  3. I have been aware of many text to speech tools, but it's always nice to know which ones are still working. The Onenote tool where you see the text highlighted as the word is being read has obvious benefits for language learning. I learned from watching :-)

  5. marianna casoria I've just realized that I was thinking of speech to text, such as Google Docs, and just about anything on a tablet, where almost all have text to speech (there I go again!) SPEECH TO TEXT built right into the keyboard. I address some of these tools such as https://dictanote.co/ in this section of my recent article:

  6. but for text to speech, also many tools, e.g. lmgtfy.com - LMGTFY (and once again we all learn from exploring each other's comments)

  8. marianna casoria the tool you've introduced us to is useful not for learners with special needs only, i'd say. Most present - day young people find it difficult to express their thoughts aloud in public, even in L1. The problem is they spend too much time in virtual world, reading and writing messages.
Thank you for sharing the tool.I have never used one. Will introduce the tool to my school learners. Believe they will like it, as it's easy to navigate, has a simple interface, and helps to pronounce correctly.
