  1. I"ve played Kahoot a lot in class, and you're right, you have to control it. But this is the first time I've seen it played online. Seems to work well, as you say, better if there are more players, very competitive, and students seem to like it.

  3. Hi Marianna, great lesson. I have not used Kahoot with one person as of yet and it seems just as much fun for those playing. Just wondering... would you have been able to get more language out of the student by having the student prepare some questions about you as a person? Just a thought....

  5. Very educational and real recording! Nice to see you having this conversation at the end, so lovely to hear your different accents in English! Very good guidance towards the use of kahoot, an excellent tool, would like to try it. Marianna you are a very patient teacher, it was interesting, very interactive and great fun. Thank you!

  6. Vance Stevens I agree with you: more players are, more competitive is the game!

  7. Great idea for involving students in the lesson #activelearning ;-) I have never used Kahoot but I use a simillar tool quizizz.com - Quizizz: Free quizzes for every student My students love it but you have to be prepared for a little chaos in class!

  8. Lisa, you can try "Socrative.com".
Quizizz, Socrative and Kahoot are similar tools....But I love kahoot!

  9. Lisa Wood Chaos can be F.U.N. (frivolous unanticipated nonsense)

  10. marianna casoria I've never seen Kahoot used online, either. Did you intentionally mute the BGM? And I agree--my students love Kahoot the most. It's a good mood maker. I usually use Socrative and Quizlet for assessment (let them use on their own at home, except Quizlet Live)

  11. Yuko Kato good question....in the recording there was no background sound, but during the video lesson I heard it...

  12. If this is not on the recording you probably heard the BGM through Yuko's speakers audio feeding into her mic. System sound needs to be check marked before starting screensharing.

  13. marianna casoria Heike Philp That happened to me! First, the music was not recorded, and later I noticed that I didn't have a checkmark on the little box next to "Share Computer Sound." It's the very bottom and easy to miss.
